JOURNALISM Journalism acts like a one- year training course to teach interested students how to be successful in  the  world of journalism. Students will learn the necessary important skills needed to  succeed  as a member of the yearbook, newspaper, and sports reporting staff. Journalism students will learn how to write journalistic and learn the basic components of graphic design and photography. By the end of the course, students will be proficient in Adobe InDesign and Adobe PhotoShop. Opportunities are available for students to become Adobe Certified Specialists by the  end of the school year.

YEARBOOK Are you interested in covering school events in and outside of school? If so, join the yearbook staff. The yearbook is the largest group project on campus, we need potential editors, writers, photographers, and designers to help build our staff. Using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, we’ll work together together to capture the best moments of Lake Buena Vista's inaugural year. 

NEWSPAPER Are you a strong writer and interested in learning different styles of  journalistic  writing,  if so, the Newspaper staff is perfect for you? Lake Buena Vista’s  school  newspaper will be printed  digitally  and in person. Staff members work together to brainstorm, create, design, and edit each issue of the paper. Newspaper is a good time!

SPORTS REPORTING If you’re interested in athletics, taking pictures, and writing about Lake Buena Vista’s athletics programs, Sports Reporting is the perfect class for you. Reporters will be right in the middle of the action, taking pictures and reporting from the sidelines. Members of the class will photograph all athletics on campus. Sports Reporting’s role is to cover the athletics on campus. Together with the yearbook staff, Sports Reporting works to highlight the best moments from each game. Sports Reporting also teachers in-depth Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe InDesign skills. Come join the thrilling world of sports photography.
